The government recognizes the innovative potential of the youth and will integrate them in leadership positions to tap their ability, ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has said.

Mr Mucheru said, the government will include youth in all socio-political and economic activities to foster development in the country noting the youth have the ability to transform the country.
Speaking at the Harambee House today during the handing over ceremony of the State Department of Youth Affairs to the Ministry of ICT, Innovations, and Youth Affairs, Mr Mucheru said, deliberate efforts will be made to mobilization loans and funds to enable the youth invest in enterprises.

Mr Mucheru said the government would get views from the youth and integrate them in development plans and expand their opportunities.

The Cabinet Secretary noted that the government has established Constituency Innovation Centers across the country as job centers that will provide opportunity for digital jobs to the youth.

The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Prof, Margaret Kobia said as government digitizes, there is need for every citizen to acquire digital skills to facilitate provision and access to public services.
