The public and the private sectors in Kenya are determined to adopt new advance ICT solutions to facilitate growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and  strengthen security surveillance, Cabinet Secretary for ICT, Joe Mucheru has said.

Mr. Mucheru said, investors interested in entering the Kenyan ICT market need to set shop in the country and demonstrate the strength of their services and products through exhibitions to win buyers.

Speaking at his Telposta Towers today when he hosted the new Israeli Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Noah Gal Gendler, Mr. Mucheru said both the public and the private sectors in the country are enthusiastic to integrate innovative ICT solutions from Israeli companies in local services for efficiency.

On his part, Mr. Gendler said, Israel was willing to help Kenya with cutting-edge ICT solutions to build SMEs business plans and promote security.

He further said that Israel boasts of experts and experienced personnel in Start-ups who could share knowledge to benefit Kenyans venturing in SMEs.

The Ambassador said, the Kenyan government could identify participants for SMEs capacity building and request for training facilitation from Israeli experts.

The Diplomat said Israel is home to leading global ICT companies, which were ready to collaborate with Kenyans to promote uptake of ICTs in the country.
