The Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) has inaugurated a fleet of ten vehicles to facilitate delivery of services across its national networks.

Speaking at the Posta House while commissioning the fleet today, ICT Principle Secretary Jerome Ochieng said the fleet is part of strategic effort to improve service delivery for all citizens countrywide.

Mr Ochieng, affirmed that the ministry will give necessary support to PCK to ensure it delivers on its mandate to help the government attain its agenda of growth and value addition to the economy is realized.

The Principal Secretary said, another fleet of 11 vehicles will be commissioned next month to boost courier, mail services and e-commerce. He noted that Communication is a key element to a strong social-economic development, that the government is committed to supporting to achieve the Vision 2030 goals.

Mr Ochieng commended Posta Kenya for their innovations in their distribution and financial payment solutions and for ensuring Kenyans have access to vibrant universal postal services that is pivotal in extending the economy to all citizens.

The Principal Secretary said Posta Kenya aspires to reactivate its network to enable citizens access services within a radius of 10 Km to boost e-commerce and trade.

He said PCK is re-engineering and is now going out to engage consumers by deploying modern technological solutions that meet the needs of the customer.
