Temesi Mukani is a career communications professional with over 15 years experience in journalism, public relations and marketing communications.

He holds a Master of Arts in Communication Studies and a First Class Honors Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies degrees from the University of Nairobi as well as a post-graduate diploma in Public Relations and Reputation Management from the London of School of Public Relations.

A member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), Temesi has over the years served with distinction in several Kenyan public and private sector organizations including KenolKobil Ltd, National Oil Corporation of Kenya, State House Kenya, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, and Ministry of Defence.

As Secretary, Temesi leads the Directorate of Information and Broadcasting which is responsible for overseeing Government information policies, projects, programmes and strategies aimed at improving universal access to information and coordination of Kenya's vast broadcasting ecosystem.
