NYOTA Business Start-up Capital disbursement in the North Eastern Cluster
PS Stephen Isaboke, EBS, joined H.E. President Dr William Samoei Ruto for the NYOTA Business Start-up Capital disbursement in the North Eastern Cluster, covering Garissa, Mandera and Wajir counties.
The event marked the conclusion of Phase One of the national rollout of the programme, with over 123,000 young Kenyans across the country now having received start-up capital and enterprise support.
The North Eastern Cluster underscored the inclusive design of the NYOTA programme, with 2,500 refugees from the Daadab Refugee Complex and an additional 2,500 beneficiaries drawn from host communities in Daadab and Fafi constituencies accessing the initiative.
This approach reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring that economic empowerment reaches all communities, including those in vulnerable and marginalised settings.
NYOTA continues to demonstrate the transformative impact of bottom-up enterprise development as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth. Its success reinforces public confidence in Government-led interventions that empower youth, promote self-reliance and deliver tangible socio-economic benefits across the country.
