The meeting aimed to explore shared areas of interest to foster a digital dialogue between Kenya and the EU.

The discussions delved into key areas, including advancing sovereign cloud infrastructure with an energy efficiency focus, and joint efforts on submarine cable repairs alongside broader tech sovereignty.

In his remarks, the Principal Secretary highlighted the strong foundation of collaboration with EU member states and Kenya's digital ambitions, reaffirming the country's push for transformation through strategic international partnerships.

He also emphasized the nation’s wealth of talent, noting: "As we advance towards AI and emerging technologies, rather than merely consuming them, we aim to actively participate and innovate alongside global partners."

Also in attendance were ICT Directors Loyford Muriithi, Evans Gichuki, and Barnabas Sang; Shadrack Maweu, Chief Finance Officer; and other senior government officials.

This engagement underscores Kenya's commitment to leveraging technology for economic growth and deeper EU collaboration.
