KECOSO Games Promote Teamwork Among Government Communication Professionals

Communication professionals from across Government have been urged to strengthen teamwork, collaboration and coordination as they work to ensure Kenyans receive clear, accurate and timely information on Government programmes and services.

Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, made the remarks when he officially opened this year's Kenya Communication Sports Organisation (KECOSO) Games in Machakos, yesterday.

Held under the theme “Enabling Teamwork through Sports,” the week-long games bring together communication professionals from various Government institutions for sporting activities, networking and team building.

The event provides an opportunity for Government communication officers to interact, build professional relationships and strengthen collaboration beyond the workplace.

Mr. Isaboke noted that the values learnt through sport are equally important in public service, particularly for communication professionals whose work requires close coordination and teamwork.

“Sport teaches participants to communicate effectively, trust their colleagues, adapt to changing circumstances and remain focused when faced with challenges,” he noted.
