Cloud infrastructure will deliver integrated & end-to-end capabilities
Kenya is intensifying its push to expand the digital economy through strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and skills building.
Yesterday, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy H.E Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, EGH, hosted a delegation from Oracle Corporation led by Annick Sakho, Head of Government Affairs for Africa, to discuss ongoing plans to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders. These efforts aim to accelerate the adoption of Oracle Cloud services, which are expected to become commercially available from within Kenya in the coming months.
This cloud infrastructure will deliver integrated, end-to-end capabilities to support efficient and reliable operations, power innovation, and enable a transition beyond basic software-as-a-service (SaaS) toward more comprehensive digital solutions.
As part of its broader investment in Kenya, Oracle will also support digital skills training in partnership with government, helping to build a pipeline of talent equipped to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
The Cabinet Secretary underscored the importance of certification and strong professional networks in building a credible and sustainable digital ecosystem, alongside continued efforts to lower the cost of connectivity and expand access to digital services.
Also in attendance were David Bunei, Country Leader, Oracle Kenya; Anien Coetzee, Global Cloud, Oracle Corp; as well as industry players and government representatives.
