“Kenya’s AI future is now, it is up to all of us; government, private sector, academia and civil society to turn this Vision into reality,” he added.
The CS appreciated the immense support by The European Union, The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) & GIZ, The International Development Research Centre (IDRC), The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), local and international partners for their unwavering support in developing the AI Strategy.
In his remarks, ICT and Digital Economy PS Eng. John Tanui noted that several initiatives such as innovation hubs have been rolled out to support the effective implementation of the AI Strategy.
The PS indicated that the Africa Center of Competence for Digital and Artificial Intelligence Skilling was recently launched in partnership with UNDP to serve as an incubator for public sector innovation, leveraging digital and AI technologies.
