PS Isaboke Sets 2026 Pace at First Heads of Departments Meeting
Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr Stephen Isaboke, EBS, today chaired the first Heads of Departments meeting of the New Year 2026, setting the pace for the year ahead.
In his remarks, the PS reiterated the Head of Public Service’s description of 2026 as a year of completion, emphasising the need to translate Government agenda and promises into tangible outcomes for the Kenyan people.
He underscored the importance of proactive leadership, noting that progress requires deliberate action.
PS Isaboke challenged the HoDs to build on the strong foundation laid in the previous year, citing the State Department’s achievement of an unmodified audit opinion and recognition for driving public service transformation. He called for even higher standards of efficiency, transparency and productivity across all departments.
The meeting also highlighted key priorities for the year, including the digitisation of operations, particularly within the Government Advertising Agency and the Kenya News Agency, as well as intensified efforts to expand connectivity to underserved and unserved areas.
