PS Isaboke Celebrates Sigalagala National Polytechnic’s 6th Graduation
The Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr Stephen Isaboke, EBS, today officiated the 6th graduation ceremony of Sigalagala National Polytechnic in Kakamega County on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Hon Julius Migos Ogamba.
More than 2,000 students graduated, including the first cohort of learners under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme. The PS commended the RPL graduates, noting that many had valuable work experience but lacked formal certification. Through assessment and qualification, they have now been awarded nationally recognised certificates, opening new pathways for career growth and entrepreneurship.
PS Isaboke reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to strengthening the TVET sector, describing it as central to Kenya’s transformation agenda and essential for equipping young people with practical skills for the labour market.
