Devolution Drives Inclusivity and Digitisation Across Counties

The 9th Devolution Conference, officially opened by His Excellency President William Ruto in Homa Bay County, has underscored the transformative impact of devolution in promoting inclusivity and reducing marginalisation across the country.

Among the senior government officials in attendance was Mr. Stephen Isaboke, Principal Secretary in the State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunication. The PS also toured several exhibition booths at the conference, where he interacted with various government agencies showcasing innovations and services aligned with the devolution agenda.

He was joined by fellow Principal Secretaries Carren Agengo (Children’s Welfare Services) and Regina Ombam (Trade), reinforcing a united front in the government’s efforts to strengthen service delivery at the grassroots.

The conference provided a platform for stakeholders to reflect on the progress of devolution since its inception, affirming the importance of continued collaboration between national and county governments to ensure sustainable development.
