PS Isaboke Urges Public Servants to Support National Development Charter Conversation Ahead of Launch

Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, has urged public servants to take an active role in communicating Government programmes and development opportunities to citizens ahead of the launch of the National Conversation on the National Development Charter by H.E. President Dr. William Ruto on 12 August 2026.

PS Isaboke made the remarks when he convened a meeting with Heads of Departments in the State Department for Broadcasting and Telecommunications to reflect on the development taking place across the country and the Government programmes currently being implemented.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the departmental heads to review the progress being made under various Government initiatives in the sector and consider how public servants can better communicate these interventions and the opportunities they present to Kenyans.

“Effective public communication is central to ensuring that citizens are well informed about Government programmes, available opportunities and ways in which they can participate in the country's development journey,” he noted.

The PS emphasised that public servants have a responsibility to understand Government policies, programmes and interventions within their respective areas of work and communicate them accurately and effectively to the communities they serve.
