PS Stephen Isaboke, EBS, at the Mashujaa Day 2026 Partners Breakfast Briefing

Mashujaa Day 2026 Thematic Week to Showcase Kenya’s Development Progress

The 2026 Mashujaa Day celebrations will provide an opportunity for the Government to showcase Kenya’s development progress and highlight the impact of programmes and projects being implemented across the country.

The celebrations, which will culminate in the national Mashujaa Day event, will feature a week-long programme bringing together Government, the private sector, the media and other stakeholders to highlight Kenya’s achievements and ongoing transformation.

Speaking during the Mashujaa Day 2026 Partners’ Breakfast Briefing, Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Stephen Isaboke called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the celebrations effectively communicate the country’s development story.

PS Isaboke urged the media and other partners to give visibility to successful Government programmes and projects, particularly those delivering tangible benefits to citizens.

Principal Secretary for the National Treasury, Dr Chris Kiptoo, who hosted the briefing, highlighted the significance of taking the Mashujaa Day celebrations to three counties, Uasin Gishu, Nandi and Elgeyo-Marakwet, as part of efforts to promote inclusivity and showcase development across the country.

The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy will support the celebrations through communication, media coverage and public visibility, amplifying activities taking place across the three counties and enabling more Kenyans to engage with the development story being showcased during the Thematic Week.

Also present were: Principal Secretaries: Boniface Makokha (Economic Planning), Dr Beatrice Inyangala (Higher Education) and Mr Denis Itumbi, the Head of Special Programmes at the Presidency.
