Kenya is ready to host the Connected Africa Summit 2025

The CS for the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Hon. William Kabogo Gitau earlier today joined stakeholders in this year’s Connected Africa Summit (CAS) 2025 Partners’ Breakfast held in Nairobi.
The CAS 2025 Partners’ Breakfast was held in preparation for the much-anticipated CAS 2025, a premier platform that continues to shape Africa’s digital transformation journey.
“This year, we convene under the theme: "The Digital Journey: Vision to Reality." It is a theme that challenges us to move beyond ambition and turn our shared digital vision into tangible action and impact,” the CS noted.
The CAS 2025 organized by ICT Authority (ICTA), scheduled for May 26th to 29th 2025 at the Diamond Leisure Resort and Spa in Diani, Kenya, will bring together policy leaders, technology pioneers, investors, and industry captains.
Speaking as the Guest of Honor, the CS explained that the discussions in CAS 2025 will focus on how emerging technologies; AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Climate Technologies can accelerate transformation across sectors like Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Sustainability.
“We will work together with all stakeholders to ensure that CAS 2025 is a defining moment in our continent’s digital journey. I look forward to welcoming all stakeholders to Diani as we take Africa’s Digital Journey from Vision to Reality,” the CS said.
On his part, ICT and Digital Economy PS Eng. John Tanui acknowledged that through engagements of the previous Connected Summits, great initiatives were realized, transforming the digital ecosystem of the country.
He highlighted the initiatives as; The Presidential Digital Talent Programme, the e-Citizen platform, National Optic Fibre Network Backhaul Initiative (NOFBI) amongst others. "I appreciate the role played by various players and our partners in advancing digital initiatives."
