Government Reviews Progress on BETA Priorities and National Preparedness

The Government has reviewed progress in implementing its priority programmes under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), alongside preparations for the expected El Niño rains and the national examinations.

The review was undertaken during the second 2026 National Development Implementation Committee meeting held at the Kenya School of Government and chaired by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Government to take stock of implementation, identify emerging challenges and strengthen coordination across Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Stephen Isaboke participated in the meeting, which also considered measures to support the millions of learners undertaking national examinations and ensure preparedness for the expected rains.

The discussions underscored the need to sustain implementation and ensure that Government commitments translate into tangible outcomes for Kenyans.

The Government continues to focus on improving public services, expanding opportunities and supporting better livelihoods, with the impact of its programmes on the daily lives of citizens remaining a key measure of success.
