Fast and reliable internet connection is pivotal for increasing access to information and ensuring a robust health care system.

Earlier today, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Hon. William Kabogo Gitau made an impromptu visit to the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital (CGTRH).

Notably, the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy through ICTA has installed a universal healthcare system to provide internet in the hospital through the National Optic Fibre Network Backhaul Initiative (NOFBI).

Accompanied by the CGTRH CEO Dr.Iqbal Khandwalla, CS Kabogo toured the hospital and witnessed the seamless internet connection.

The government is committed to availing stable internet connection in public health facilities for improved health care outcomes and quality patient experiences.
